Agree totally: teaching children the importance of kindness to animals is so necessary! Today I read a story of a young boy who abandoned his dogs by tying them to a chain link fence and leaving them there, to whatever fate might have in store. No water, no food. Luckily they were spotted and taken to animal care and control (not the best outcome, but fingers crossed). This is an important part of being a citizen of the world: love our animals, take care of them, volunteer your time. Thanks for a great post -- love Quinn, by the way. Elder statesmen are the best!
